Evaluation of the bactericidal effect of some disinfectants against E.coli and Salmonella isolated from poultry hatcheries

Poultry production considers one of the most important activities for economy and income in many countries . Proper management hygiene poultry hatchery mostly depend on efficient cleaning sanitation environment hatching eggs high quality newly hatched chicks The aim our study is to evaluate effectiveness some disinfectants (Aquavinol® 5%, Presept® 2.5%, Poviment® MM8 ®) at various concentrations 1% , 1.5% 2% different contact times 30, 60, 90 120 minutes against E.coli Salmonella which were isolated from hatcheries a titer 3×106/cm2. Our results showed that Aquavinol® 5% was highest powerful disinfectant these pathogens, followed by 2.5% then ,while MM8® weakest same conditions. concluded prevention & control infections choice must be applied with sufficient concentration proper exposure time achieve best effect microorganisms low costs.
